The Hebrew Free Loan Association is poised to assist area homeowners in preparing for winter. Loans are available to help cover the costs of insulation, furnace, and window maintenance or repair, among other winterization projects.

\”We regularly get calls from people this time of year and throughout the winter when they need funds to address issues in their homes,\” said Aviva Lubowsky, director of client and community relations. \”Sometimes people need a huge sum that they just don\’t have saved up. When a furnace breaks and someone doesn\’t have the money, we are a great resource.\”

Another benefit to coming to Hebrew Free Loan is that a loan can be made quickly, which is important when it\’s cold and heating a house is at issue. Checks can be disbursed the same night an applicant meets with a Loan Committee provided that all the paperwork, including from cosigners if necessary, is completed.
